Jerskin Fendrix is a multi-award-winning composer, violinist, and pianist based in London. In 2024, he became the first composer to win both Film Composer of the Year and Discovery of the Year at the World Soundtrack Awards, and is the youngest Academy Award nominee for Best Original Score.
In 2023, Fendrix scored his first motion picture, ‘Poor Things’, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, marking the first time the director of ‘The Favourite’ and ‘The Lobster’ has worked with an original composer. The critically acclaimed score received multiple awards, including an Ivor Novello award for Best Film Score, in addition to a range of Best Original Score nominations from the Academy Awards, BAFTAs, Golden Globes and more. Fendrix went on to score Lanthimos’ second film of 2024, ‘Kinds of Kindness’, and has most recently scored Lanthimos’ next feature film ‘Bugonia’, releasing in 2025.
Fendrix released his debut-album Winterreise in April 2020 via untitled (recs). An “unhinged collection of pop songs”, Loud & Quiet Magazine named it their 2020 Album of the Year.
