Other recent work includes additional scoring and arrangements for TV series Soulmates (AMC), and in 2020 a commission from BBC Radio 3 to compose ‘The Rising Sea Symphony’, a large-scale experimental work performed by Shards and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. The piece was nominated for the Prix de Rome and was followed by a second commission, ‘The Virtual Symphony’, in 2021.
Brunt is Composer in Residence at the Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, where upcoming projects involve a large work for The King’s Singers and a new song cycle, The End of Infinity, composed in collaboration with JFDR and Benjamin Glorieux.
